Look how the amount of posts/discussions have plummetted. I agree there should be some sort of moderation but the current tone is certainly Orwellian as you describe. My major gripe is this-If you ban somebody or someone asked to have their account deleted, you should purge all their posts. They have done it in the past but refuse to now. I appreciate these boards especially the contractor section (helps to id the real deadbeat clients) but I'm under no illusions that these boards were put up solely for our benefit. Major reason is probably to attract advertisers, especially for those of us coming for the discussion and not so much for job search. I see ads here for classes and services all the time. So of course, you want to present your business in the best light. Hoapres sure wasn't doing that for Dice so why should they provide space for his thousands of comments?
