It is Dice's forum, and Dice is entirely within their rights to censor as they see fit.

And we are within our rights to go elsewhere.

I think Indeed.com has forums.

I noticed it also, I guess that's considered an insult now.

I thought it was funny.

Yup. I had two post removed with "YKW" and/or maybe I said my job was "Outsourced to India".. I guess they have scripts setup now that flag them.

This very old thread is still active, and shows that the Dice Moderator didn't censor member comments about censorship in the past.

I don't mind animals at all! LOVE my puppy dogs!!

A lot of the words on the filter list are a hold over from a time when I had some VERY nasty posters on these boards that used every derogatory meaning they could find. I will try to look threw the filter today and get some of them removed since those people have moved on.

Hope you have a great Friday,

Respectfully, I think it would be better to ban users who verbally abuse others rather than banning language. Censoring the word M onk e y is a perfect example. That's just stupid. Someone who wants to cause trouble can use any innocent word in a derogatory and offensive way, are you going to censor all words? Did you ban dog? If not, why not? Dog is quite freqently used to put people down. How about tool? Clod?

I could see how easily M onk ey could be used derogatorily against computer programmers that are short, hairy and particularly obnoxious. (No offense intended to any short, hairy programmers.)
